Supply Of Scripts For Performance.
When you purchase a full set of performance scripts we will provide you with - one script for each listed character, plus a few additional cast copies for chorus, backstage etc. Plus a ‘Free’ producers copy. Containing all the production notes (which vary from script to script). If we supply a music score with the script then it will be made available as a cd. The scripts are sent to you by post. (First Class post in the UK, airmail elsewhere.)

Use of performance scripts.
Complete sets of scripts for performance are provided for the purposes of preparing for a production. Possession of a Complete Sets of Scripts for Performance does not convey any rights to the public performance of the script, in whole or in part. (performance licences must first be obtained from Limelight Scripts according to the scale of fees set out on the Fees page.If you a purchase Complete Sets of Scripts for Performance, then you may not: - Make additional copies of the script. (Additional copies can be purchased from Limelight Scripts. Or represent the work contained in the scripts as your own. (all the work is copyrighted by the authors, and breach of copyright is actionable in a court of law)

Review/Loan copies.
The original audio master of the arrangement remains the property of the supplier. The supplier retains the right to remove permission of use if the supplier judges that these terms and conditions have been abused.

Use of review/loan copies.
Review copies are provided for the purposes of review only. Possession of a review copy does not convey any rights to the public performance of the script, in whole or in part. Copying and distribution of the script, in whole or in part, by any means constitutes a breach of copyright (actionable in a court of law) and is forbidden.

Performance Licences.
Performance licences are only issued to individuals and groups who have previously purchased a full set of performance scripts from Limelight Scripts. And entitles the holder to perform a script, in whole or in part.

What constitutes a performance?
Any performance in front of an audience incurs performance royalties. Rehearsals do not count as performances but... if you allow an audience to see your dress rehearsal, this counts as a performance and is liable for performance royalties. (Some groups do this with a reduced entry charge)

Venue Capacity.
For amateur performances, royalties are charged according to the audience capacity of the venue (usually the number of seats) not the actual number of people who see the show. If you do a tour with multiple venues of different sizes, then the royalties will reflect the capacity of each venue.

Change of venue.
If a change of venue changes the audience capacity, then the performance royalties will change and you will be liable for additional charges or eligible for a refund. You must contact Limelight Scripts as soon as such a change is confirmed, to agree the changes to the performance fee.

Change of performance requirements.
We realise that performance requirements can change during the planning of a production, therefore…If you plan additional performances, or wish to change the proposed dates of your show/s. Then you can contact Limelight Scripts and ask for an amended performance licence to cover the new dates. (provided you give us 7 days notice of your new requirements The amended performance licence will then supersede the original one, and will incur no extra charges if it covers the same number of shows as the original licence.

Refunds.
Any performances cancelled and notified to Limelight Scripts seven days or more before the planned first show qualify for full refunds of the performance licence fee for the cancelled performances. If you wish to request a refund, please contact us before taking any other action. E-mail: info@limelightscripts.co.uk or phone (UK) 0114 2017338. Performances cancelled within seven days of the first performance are not eligible for refunds. Shows that fail to attract their expected audience are not eligible for refunds.

Supply Of Audio CD's Of Music & Songs.
Audio track(s) are supplied on a CD, which is delivered by first class post in the UK and by airmail to other countries. Upon payment of the requested fee, the Licensee named in the order is then licensed to use the track(s) supplied on the CD(s) for rehearsal or live public performance only in the context of a show licensed by Limelight Scripts. And does not constitute a licence for public performance of the song(s) in other contexts. If you wish to perform any of the supplied songs in a context other than the licensed show, then you must apply to Limelight Scripts for a separate performance licence. We will then charge an appropriate fee for such use.

The licensee shall not:-
Transfer the licence to a third party. Alter, modify, publish, distribute, sell, broadcast, transmit, create derivative works from, or edit any content of the backing track(s) covered by this licence without the express permission of Limelight Scripts. Any such activity constitutes infringement, which will result in termination of service and possible legal action. In the event of a name change the licensee must advise Limelight Scripts and request an amended licence, until such amended licence is granted, use of the backing tracks(s) is forbidden)

Rights of the supplier.

Methods Of Payment.
Limelight Scripts is UK based and works in GB pounds. But we will accept cheques in GB Pounds or US Dollars. We can accept other currencies, but this will incur bank charges of GBP £10.00 fee for each transaction. If you wish to conduct transactions in currencies other than GB Pounds or US Dollars. Please contact us with your request. Once we have processed your order, we will convert our fees to your chosen currency and e-mail this to you. We will then dispatch your script as soon as your payment has been cleared by our bank. Review copies of scripts will be dispatched within 24 hours of your request. Complete performance sets will be dispatched within 2 working days of receiving your payment. ( by first class post, or airmail where appropriate)

Our Privacy Policy.
Limelight Scripts collects the information you enter into our order forms. This is necessary in order that we can do our business, which is to provide you with scripts and performance licences. We do not gather any information about you that is not part of doing our business with you. And we only use the information to respond to your orders and deliver scripts and performance licences to you. The information you provide will only be disclosed to the staff of Limelight Scripts, and to the authors of any scripts (or music files) you purchase. Generally, information provided to authors is just the name of the organisation performing their work. Authors occasionally like to see performances of their works, in which case. (we may put them in touch with you, using the contact details you have provided) Limelight Scripts will not disclose information about you to any third party unless required to do so by law. And we do not engage in the sale of mailing lists or other personal information.

Organisation Information.
Professional theatre companies are charged in a different way from Amateur Theatre Companies and Schools. Most other organisations are charged at the same rate as Amateur Theatre Companies. If your company falls into a different category, and you believe that you should be treated differently, then please send a query e-mail to Limelight Scripts giving us a brief explanation of your reason for special treatment, and we will consider your request. If you are buying a script on behalf of an organisation, please use the organisation’s name. We will use the organisation’s name when we issue performance licences. Organisations which have formal purchasing systems may require their own order reference to be used for a purchase. If you belong to such an organisation, please supply your order reference number. And we will use it on any documents we send to you.
